Not a motorcycle mechanic by any means. Just trying to fix up a '77 KZ750 in my free time.
Charging system isn't putting out anything. Stator windings test fine per some youtube videos I've watched.
I expect to feel some kind of magnet on the flywheel/starter clutch/rotor assembly that spins between the stator and coil. I don't feel magnetic force anywhere.
Can somebody tell me if/where the magnet is at or explain the concept of how the inner coil and outer stator works as a charging system on these bikes? Maybe link me to a video? Everything I find is 1 rotor and 1 stator. My bike has 1 "rotor", 1 Stator and an inner coil winding.
Bike runs well while the battery is charged up!

This is a "dynamo" type system (used on some early models) the inner (field coil) is ignition fed via the regulator (voltage is varied by the regulator to regulate output voltage) and it is this "field coil" that generates an "electro magnetic field" during operation. It is the later stator (outer winding only) systems that use a permanent magnet

Not sure if this will be of any help or not. Here is a wiring diagram for the 1977 KZ750 B2,

Thanks!
There should be a permanent magnet on the “dynamo rotor” then, correct?
And it should be strong enough that I can feel it with a nail or something magnetic?

No magnet, that is the field coil system.

This permanent magnetic rotor needs a different stator and regulator and is not comptible to your field coil charging system.
See the photos in my last post.

The Kawasaki factory service manual for your bike provides correct information, not watching youtube.
The field coil charging system was very advanced. It is also complicated and expensive to work on if you need new parts because everything is specialized. As mentioned by others, there are no magnets in this system.

As mentioned previously, the field coil generates an "electro-magnet field" when energised (this provides your magnet)No magnet, that is the field coil system.
