Strange thing on kz750 ltd

Does anybody know what is it for?
It was just connected together by a piece of a cable.
When I disconnect it start button not work.

Looks like clutch lever or side stand switch wires ?

Probably for the clutch switch. The wiring diagram will typically show a starter lockout switch. same thing.
ps: it helps to mention the year & exact model. A 4-cylinder Ltd could be a 750H chain drive or 750F Ltd Shaft.

I can confirm on my 81’ 750LTD it is a clutch lever switch. When working properly it prevents the starter from turning if the clutch lever is not pulled.
