no contact all three together 

general consensus is the switch is toast, needs replaced.
hoped for correct steering lock that protrudes out of the bottom
but all i can find is emgo ignition switch kawasaki 40-80610 but steering lock protrudes from the side
is that the only switch available? ty

You probably only need this portion of the switch:







 

are you putting your probes on the wires of the switch or are you probing the solder points on the switch?

daveo yes that's absolutely what i need  is just that portion available anywhere?
f64 im using the solder points and back probing the connector with switch completely removed from bike

Someone else may know of a source, but not that I know of.
It was removed from a switch listed several years ago on ebay.  There's not much available to choose from now, but that can change in a day.

Kawasaki Vulcan 750 1986-2006 Ignition Switch 27005-5052

Looks close to yours, only the connector is differing. De-solder and re-solder your connector or use the internal parts only.

Have a potential source looking into it, and will followup with a PM.

scirocco absolutely a great idea. was looking on ebay the other night and seen an incredible resemblance between the two. i will look further into it.
