Look at the green arrow. What does this flat rest against. I bet it’s a bolt with a lock nut and that is the adjustment. I can’t find an online manual, so I’m guessing.

Hi, there isn’t anywhere to adjust, it push  fits into a housing at the bottom and into a wiring terminal at the top, there isn’t an adjustment screw on the switch.

You can get brake light switches with threaded adjustment, My sons KZ650 and my GPZ 750 R1 both have threaded adjustment. Just google KZ650 brake light switch, they fit multiple Kawasaki's, if that helps at all...

Thanks again for your help, the flat in the picture is what the pin on the end of the switch presses against, there is no adjustment on this model at all, it relies purely on the action quality of the switch, I cleaned up the metal housing and oiled the spring and my brake lights front and rear are working as they should, I think initially the problem was down to faulty wiring which I have now renewed, thanks again for your input guys.
