Possible issue with spark plugs

I bought some new spark plugs for a ‘79 kz750 that were supposed to be an exact fit. They screw in fine but the boots are loose. Is the issue the new spark plugs or the boots? I think the loose boots may be causing some issues with starting/idling.

Some spark plug boots need a bolt on nippel on the spark plug terminal!!!
