Plug wires? Think Hi Perf. Car! Summit Racing! Anything under the sun for plug wire & caps, just sayin'. "Think outside the box!"
And for the mount posts next to the  screws on the dyna coils! A $2.49 - 12" - 1/4" bathroom sink supply line! Works just fine. I might have even used 1/4" bolts to mount these dyna coils many yrs. ago?. 2" will cover both the nuts at bottom.
Plus I use a heavy, professional di-electric 100% silicone grease on all my connections and plug boots. Works great on the old Hemi Gassers with magnetos.

Went thru 25 of these in 40 yrs.
I SOLD OUT! THE KAW BARN IS EMPTY.
More room for The Old Girl, Harley 75 FLH Electra Glide,
Old faithful! Points ign. Bendix Orig. carb.
Starts everytime!

So I went ahead and ordered the Dyna S. I've decided not to upgrade the coils and wires at this point, but do think I should put on new caps. Apparently these original metal caps are prone to failure, especially if there's moisture in the air. Given I currently have plenty of B8ES on hand, should I use resistive caps? If so, what resistance?

You don't really need resistor caps or plugs.  But I think the resistor plugs are easier to find than the non-resistor ones?  Standard caps might make your plug choice simpler in the future?  You don't really want to have multiple resistors.

You only need resistors if you are worried about radio interference with some electronics on your bike or on your person.  And the Dyna-S doesn't count.  It shouldn't care.  If you had a dyna 2000 ignition controller, that would care.  I suppose if you want a GPS speedo, or to use your phone to navigate as you ride, it might be a good idea to add a resistor.

Edit:. I like the NGK caps, but it looks like it's hard to find the non-resistor version.  It may just be easier to go with a resistor cap if that's all folks stock now, and use up your stock of b8es.

Interesting. I have noticed that something seems to occasionally interfere with my Bluetooth music to my Cardo.

Bluetooth and GPS are definitely at risk for interference from the ignition.  The resistor plugs and caps are intended to try to reduce the interference.

In the worst case the spark noise could cause errors or resets of digital devices (like microcontrollers).  That would be the concern with something on the bike, like the dyna 2000 since it's microcontrollers based.

So should I be looking at something like the LB05FP?

just a little confused
important to use resistor caps or not with 3 ohm dyna coils??
please shed some light

You don't need resistor caps or plugs at all .
The resistor is only to dampen the electrical interference the igniton produces.
I never run resistor plugs or caps.

The coils don't care. The plugs don't care. They make sparks either way.

It's the electronic gizmos around the motorcycle that care about the radio frequency noise that is created by a spark.  The very first radio transmitters used a large spark to create the transmitted signal.  The Titanic sent the SOS using a spark gap transmitter.  en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spark-gap_transmitter

The radio frequency noise can interfere with things like cell phones, GPS, bluetooth headphones, digital ignition controllers (Dyna2000), and other modern digital devices.  Oh, and AM and FM radios if you happen to have one of those.

Adding a resistor to the ignition system can reduce the amount of radio frequency noise created by the spark.

If you use a resistor, use only one (either resistor plugs OR resistor caps).

I don't have resistor plugs or caps on my bike.

this is good to know! but i do have resistor caps, can one simply remove the resistor from the plug connector and still use the plug connector, or do i need 4 new plug wire connectors? such magnificent knowledgeable and great peeps here, love it man

The resistor caps are fine as long as you don't run resistor plugs at the same time as this weakens the spark.
The resistor can be removed from some caps, NGK's etc but it's a pain and not worth the bother.
I usually just use Dyna or Taylor leads which are non resistor.
