I`m planning rebuild my wiring harness and have a question :)

I`m looking into have one ground cable from battery to steering wheel (inside the front main light) and then splicing it to 5-6 wires for different switches on the front.
What is the best pratice og splicing cabels from 1 to 6 cables examples ?

I want to do these properly  so it will work for many years without any issues.

I've seen where it's done with soldering/heatshrink (in home appliances) But in cars and my newer motorcycle - it's done by running ground cable to distribution block and then you will take individual grounds from there.
