Hi Guys.
I am having issues with my bike starting when it is hot. It starts when it is cold no problem and runs fine. But when I stop after a trip and try to restart, the starter motor turns fine, but the engine doesn’t fire. I read on an earlier post that it is most likely the coils or the valve clearance. I checked the valves clearance when I restored the bike and they are fine. I am assuming it will be the coils. My question is, if the coils turn out to be bad, can anybody recommend any replacement for this bike. I note that they can be bought at Z1 in the US, but is there a specific resistance level I should look for before I buy. I’m a bit of a muppet when it comes to electrical issues, so I’d appreciate any and all advice.
thanks in advance

You can download a manual for your bike here...www.kzrider.com/service-manuals

In the electrical section you will find the resistance level requirement.  1.8 - 2.8 ohms.

Dyna gray coils will work.  They are 2.2 ohms.

The grey Dyna 2.2 ohm coils are the best match for the stock electronic ignition.

My motorcycle has the same ignition system as yours:  the stock coils were getting very hot to the touch & the motorcycle would intermittently cut out at speed, so I installed the green Dyna 3.0 ohm coils.  I went with the 3.0 ohm in case I had to switch to the Dyna S if one of the other ignition components fails.  But it has been more than several years & the stock stuff is still fine.
