Anybody else used one? I'm happy with appearance and fit (I replaced the tach/speedo bracket as the tach didn't fit the original bracket) but it seems to have slow response to RPM changes.

For the price it was hard to beat and the speedometer is fine but a sluggish tach really bugs me. Oh well, the faded redline on the original tach bugged me too (the reason I did the swap was I really hated looking at the faded redline).

You get what you pay for.
Nippon Denso tach and speedo are high quality, the reproductions often fail.

There are at least a couple of places that refurbish the stock meters.
Z1Resto, CB750faces & another guy in the UK I believe. CB750faces also sells parts for the do-it-yourself route.

Thanks for the input guys. When I ordered this reproduction set I also ordered parts from CB750 gauges to use on the originals. When I get the parts we'll see how it goes. I've replaced automotive faces and needles before but after my CBX1000 I don't look forward to servicing more instruments held together with "crimp rings".

Good to learn that these often fail. Before buying I did multiple internet searches about this company's gauges but no negative stuff came up.
