Hi, I am trying to sort a 1978 KZ650SR non-runner. The screws holding the points on are pretty chewed up. i would like new ones before removing the old.

Anyone know what size screws are needed? Any help or advice would be welcome.

Thanks guys

For future reference many fastener sizes are listed in the parts diagrams.

Kawasaki.com. Cmsnl.com. or Partzilla which is the easiest to use.

Just in case you are not aware of it - there are no phillips screws on any KZ. Those cross headed screws that look like phillips are actually Japanese Industrial Standard (JIS) and using a phillips screwdriver on them will damage them becasue the screwdriver will not seat properly in the screw. You can very easily make JIS screwdriver tips from phillips tips - just ask if you need any instructions on how to do it. Ed
