I bought a 1981 KZ440 LTD for my girlfriend that I am fixing up. It had a Jetter Fairing with working lights. I took the fairing off, added a stock headlight and am putting directionals on the bike. The front wire harness was neatly tucked in a bag under the triple tree and looks unmolested.

I searched on this forum and noticed that my directional wires are different colors from the schematics and posts mentioned. However, I have the turn signals added.

What looks like the running light wire (factory two female bullet connector) is a white wire with a blue tracer. This is battery 12+ and live. I need to follow this wire back but need some assistance in where I should look. Can someone point me in the right direction?

Headlight works as it should. All 4 directionals work great, no running lights... or the running lights are on all the time, regaurdless of key position.

Hello, white/blue is 12+ accessory feed circuit, along with orange/black 12-, disconnect around battery if not using,, directionals generally use green(left) and grey,(right) and black/yellow, 12-, if the groupings in you headlight are still sleeved there, should be a blue with them which is the running light feed from ignition switch, check with meter, this is from. the 650 diagram which should be similar, good luck

hi, pic of what should be in headlight, green, grey, 2 blues, female baby bullets, double 12-, bk/y, assuming you replaced with 3 wire blinkers, pretty common among models
