What running lights in the back? As far as I know there are none on a Kawasaki. The turn signals in the back are just that - turn signals. The turn signals in the front have 2 filaments - one is for running lights and one is for turn signals. It sounds to me like your bike is working as designed if the license plate light is working. If the license plate light is not working check the bulb and the wiring. Ed

I checked and appears 650ed is correct. Your bike is a typical kz without any running lights within the rear turn signals. They are just turn signals. There are single filament bulbs in the turn signal housings. The only running lights in the rear come from the tail light. The license plate illumination comes from the clear bottom section of the rear taillight lens.

Based on your description sounds like everything is normal.

If the tail light is not turning on, check the bulb first. The tail light has it's own dedicated circuit going back to the ignition switch in order to incorporate the parking-light feature. The tail light is on with the bike turned off when the key is turned all the way to the "P" position.

No light on license plate. It does have a clear panel for the license plate dual filaments on bulbs only one film it's working the brake filament.

Have you checked fuses and bulbs? Do you have a test light or an ammeter?
