Need some helpful advice...

Last year I fit a Truck Lite 27270C headlight in my KZ1100. It fit very well physically, but not as well after that.
With the ignition-key turned on, the beam-out (white) indicator lamp would stay lit, and the (blue) high-beam indicator and the HI-LOW beams would inconsistently turn off when switched.
Rather than addressing this and correcting the problem at the time, I chose to remove the indicator bulbs from the tachometer, and leave it at that. But the inconsistent switching is still a problem.
Not sure how to fix this.

I have that same light.
It sounds like a loose connection. Can you get it to happen when the bike is sitting still or does it happen when you hit bumps?
The beam-out indicator is a result of led's i'm guessing. I have that problem with my brake light indicator.

If it is affecting both high and low beams it is probably a loose ground, bad switch or 12v positive wire issue leading up to the switch. The 12v positive wires leading from the switch to the light are probably ok.

It could also be the reserve lighting control module detects the LEDs as a burnt out filament under certain conditions, then switches over to the other filament.

You can bypass the reserve lighting unit by pulling it and jumping some wires in the connector.

Thanks, I suspected that component had something to do with it.

The following link might be helpful for others experiencing the issue. The fix is simple!
I chose to leave the device attached to the frame since it's in a confined space directly behind the engine.
