78 kz650 single phase high voltage? was created by Richyg4789
Having an issue wiring my charging system up. I have the two yellow wires from the stator to the rectifier. Red white wire to positive. Black wire to ground. Testing with two seperate regulator rectifiers I'm getting 19v running. The only thing currently wired to the bike is the dyna and coils. What am I missing here? Is it just due to the fact I have no load? Again this is a single phase system at idle. I was concerned about not having enough juice now I have to much lol. Any help appreciated I would like to wire the rest of the bike this has me at a stand still! I cant imagine having two dead but I guess anything is possible.

Your regulator isn't regulating.

Do you have a battery connected? The regulator usually can't regulate properly without a battery.

Brand new battery unfortunatley with all new wiring. I'm going to re check my grounds tonight. If I have to I will just replace the system with a three phase.
