1982 KZ 550H Break lights turn signals and flashers work but no running lights?

Break lights turn signals and flashers work but no running lights? Anyone have this problem? Help.

Could be the wrong bulbs. The turn front signal / running light combo use a dual filament bulb, while the rear turn signal only requires a single filament bulb.

Is the motorcycle new to you? Is this a new problem or what? Did you change the bulbs?

Every light works except the second stage of break and tail light. I checked bulbs with volt meter . They seem to check out.

I am going to replace them today. I will let you know. I would feel very stupid if so. Thank you.

Sorry, I don't know what you mean by the second stage of brake light & tail light.
And earlier you said only the running lights aren't working. still not sure if your running lights were working beforehand or not.

On USA models only the Fr turn signals have running lights >> each Fr turn signal should have 2 wires plus a ground wire & the bulbs should have 2 filaments. The Rr turn signals are 1 wire plus ground wire & the bulbs have 1 filament.

Your GPz 550 tail light assy should have 2 bulbs & each bulb has 2 filaments >> 1 filament in each bulb is for the tail light & the other filament in each bulb is for the brake light. There's probably a tail light fuse.

Yes it is a new project but I had a GPZ in my past.
