Over the winter I have converted to all LED lighting on my ‘78 LTD1000. Because I went with a red LED rear light, because it is affectively brighter because the white light will be filtered out by the red lens, a red light and red lens appears brighter. That creates an issue with having a red light cast on the license plate, illegal here in Michigan. I picked up a cheap illuminated license plate Frame that has white light for the plate, red light for running, and red light for additional brake light.

Everything worked fine until I connected the brake light and it triggered the brake light out relay and illuminated the dash brake light. To fix it I incorporated a 12 V 20 amp SPST relay wired as shown in the included crudely drawn schematic.

The question for the electrical experts here is, does anyone see a problem with the way I have this configured.

Maybe I'm adding confusion here and identifying the color of the light at the bottom of schematic and not the color of the wires. The wire colors of the license plate frame correspond to the following.

Red = Brake light
White = Running and plate illumination
Black = Ground

I have the white connected to a switched existing running light circuit.

Get the same thought about the light colours a little bit to late Mikaw and edit my post.
I have add a Brake 2 Flash modul (Strobo light effect) to the break light to get more attention from drivers behind me.
It has 14 programable modes.

I have tried to find that also without any luck. The ones I find are not programable and flash more like an emergency vehicle. I want just 3 fast strobe then constant till brake input is released. I will look into your suggestion.

This was my most recent item that claims to strobe only 3 fast then constant. NOT. It was only a $9.00 investment, no biggie!

Got a Heureka (aka. brain fart) moment. What attracts on the rear/back should work on the front head light high beam "pass" push bottom.
Will try to do a loop wiring to my front LED head light high beam circuit as a one permanent push button only Strobo Flash light.
The Brake 2 Flash modul can handle max. 15 Ampere (short cut Auto off safe failure)= 180 Watt, so it should work with my 40 Watt LED front high beam.

Am I reading this correct. Your attempting to get the high beam on the head light to flash using the monetary contact of the "horn Pass" button? Why would you want the high beam to flash?

Not to the switch low/high beam only the "pass" push bottom.
In Europa it´s more common as a warning light/sign (multiple Flash ups, button press) for Speed control traps, danger ahead, wake up stupid slow Driver let me pass on the left lane on the Autobahn/Highway and so on, (we have no Speed Limit on Germany Highways)
