I am having a problem with wiring my regulator rectifier.
Here is how I did the wiring
2 yellow ones goes to the alternator
Red white to the battery +
Brown to + coming from ignition switch
My main concern is with the black wire thats supposed to be ground? When I connect the wires the black wire becomes positive 12.6 volts.
I dont want to connect it because im afraid im going to melt down my new rectifier..
HELP!

I think you have it wired correctly. It would be expected to have near battery voltage on the black wire until it is connected to ground. The voltage just back feeds through everything because there is no current.

If you are worried, TEMPORARILY connect a lightbulb between the black wire and ground just to see what happens. The black wire should then go to near zero volts. If the light bulb lights up, then there is something wrong. Use a tail-light bulb or brake-light. Don't use LED, it wont serve this test.
