82 KZ750 Gauge Removal

First post.
I gotta 82' KZ750 CSR (M1) twin

I got this bike from a buddy about a year ago, he kept it in his friends garage because it didn't run (charging system). Sold it to me for 500 bux. I upgraded the bike to a 3phase charging system with a KZ 1000 police stator and r/r. She runs like a dream. Kick only, it's got a bad electric start. kicks right over every time. It's my daily driver.

Simple question, hopefully simple answer:

I'm removing (not replacing) my gauges. Do I just need to find a plug for the holes the cables came from? Will I squirt oil if I don't?

Thanks.

There will be no oil squiting out if the tacho gear drive stay on the head

Thanks man. I just started it up and it seemed fine no leaks. Dumb question. I appreciate the response.
