81kz750 ltd

hey everyone..i have an 81 kz750h ltd and yesterday i went to start it and upon turning the key the headlight looked dim so i put the battery on the charger with it hooked to the bike and it sparked from the red wire on the battery (still connected toi the bike..now nothing wrks when turning the key..im wondering if the battery died or did i fry something upon putting the charger on the battery while still connected to bike..im gonna have the basttery tested tomorrow and will update

Have you checked the fuses? You should. Knowing nothing of the history of the bike or your background, I have seen red terminal covers on the negative connector. So if you don't take a close look, it would be easy to hook up the charger reverse polarity.
