Hello can any one help with this problem I have the volt meter on the clock cluster fluctuates all over the place is this a bad regulator or something else
You may want to temporarily attach a separate volt meter to the charging system and see if that also fluctuates. If it does not the charging system should be ok. If the second meter fluctuates you should test the regulator using the manual as a guide.
Also you may want to check the wiring loom that attaches to the volt meter on the clock cluster to ensure the wiring isn't damaged. If the charging system and the wiring are good maybe temporarily replace the clock cluster volt meter with one you know works properly to see if the replacement fluctuates. If it does not fluctuate the original gauge is probably flaky. Ed
