Looking to see if u guys can educate me on this electronic ignition
Im familiar with dyna not this one. Bought it used from a kz fanatic here in town.
Hoping its actually from a kz650
Will these coils and ignition work ok?
And is using points with these accell coils worth it or is the stock just fine?
Thanks guys!!

If it is a Dyna III, it's just a trigger. You need the igniter box to make it work. Also, you need the rotor with magnet to complete the trigger assembly (this replaces the points cam on the advancer).

The Dyna III requires a Dyna III igniter box to control the coils. That plate only has pickups.
It also requires a Dyna III rotor with a permanent magnet embedded in it. I think a rotor from a Dyna S might also work with the Dyna III, at least there is a chance of it.
I believe the Dyna III might require 3 ohm or higher coils just as the Dyna S requires. Stock points-coils should work fine with that ignition. Stock points coils are nominally 4 ohms.
The coils in your photos are most likely 3 ohm Accel coils. (You should measure them to be sure.) They can work temporarily with points, but will accelerate point wear. They would work fine with either the Dyna S or Dyna III and a factory electronic ignition as well.
You should not use factory electronic ignition coils with the Dyna S or Dyna III. The factory electronic coils are nominally 2.3 ohms.

No ignitor box needed.
Fit and forget.
It will work with stock or performance coils with enough spark to light a bucket of piss.
