Voltage regulator? was created by Wilcocar
I need some serious help guys! I took my kawi for a trip about 400 miles in I noticed all my lights were dim and the starter was lugging so battery is completely drained! Have a brand new nice glass mat in it so some where my charging system isn’t working properly. Think it may be my voltage regulator I touched it and let’s just say it was untouchable so I’m thinking it’s cooked! Any one have this problem before? Any info would be great thanks.

Maybe, you will need a multimeter tho to trouble shoot. What’s a glass mat?

Absorbed Glass Mat battery(AGM). They are way better than traditional batteries. The one that came in my ZRX lasted ten years, the one in it now is eight and healthy. Almost never on a charger. I let the original one die completely, then recharged it and it lasted another two years after that.
