Kz1100 cdi testing?

Stator yellow wires read .12v and 4v cranking
Spark plug wire are 5kΩ
Black and yellow wire on cdi reads 12v?
I had .02v on all my grounds so I just cut bl/y cdi wire.
Not sure what to do. The wiring is tight Im just not sure where it goes. Any help would be appreciated.
Why does bl/y (ground?) have 12v?
Why does too right coil wire 1 of have 2.4v instead of 12v like the rest?

Also, your diagram doesn't show where you are getting power from. The coils and igniter need power. You said there's 12 v on those wires, so it's probably hooked up, but the diagram doesn't show it. Power for those things usually comes from the kill switch. You show the kill switch routing power to something in the upper right corner. Are those lights?
As a side note, your diagram shows the regulator/rectifier having a brown wire, but you have it cut going nowhere. That will fry your whole electrical system if you let the bike rev up for too long. The brown wire is what the regulator senses to control the output voltage of the rectifier. Without it, the full power of the stator will be fordumped into the battery and electrical system.
The start button and kill switch wiring are puzzling. The way you have it shown, the kill switch only gets power when the start button is pressed.

Where does brown rectifier wire go?
Where does IC igniter bl/y wire go? Is this ground? (On starter coil?)
Where does yellow wire on kill switch go?
Where does black wire on kill switch go?.
It did rev high af for 3 seconds after idle for 6 seconds. I didnt have kill switch throttle stuck I just ripped the main hot off as it wasnt on there great. I hooked everything up the way it was and got no spark.
May have cooked it.
I am tempted to just rewire from one of many schematics ive seen here.
May also break down and get dyna and coil kit if I can reliably test ic ignitor w my digital multi.
Any help is truly appriciated.

I don't think 3 seconds would fry anything with the brown wire disconnected. The diagram in the link shows how the brown wire should be connected.
If the stock ignition (BTW, it's not CDI) works, it's more efficient than the Dyna S.
The other box might be a reserve lighting unit or turn signal control unit. I don't think that era of bike had plastic housing igniters.

Wow, that sounds expensive. Perhaps spring for one of the aftermarket wiring harnesses too?
Loudvhx posted a link to a pretty nice bare bones wiring diagram he made. I would spend more time diagnosing the ignition, and cleaning up the wiring before I tossed more money at this project. Just sayin.
I don't see any fuses in your drawing.
There is an entire ignition troubleshooting section in the service manual.
I have not tried wiring a bike with this diagram, but it looks pretty complete to me. it even has fuses. This guy is GOOD!
