Gerex ignition

I recently bought a 900 dragbike. It has a gerex ignition box. Wondering if I can use another brand 2 step or rev monitor with it. Would like to know if it would be better than an ARD magneto. That's my options instill I can get something up to date. Any information and input will be appreciated. Thanks

Welcome to KZRider.
I have a Gerex on the shelf from days past. Never tried using it with anything other than what they provided.
Coils are hard to find in working condition . I switched to Dyna system .
Modern and fool proof.
A BHP distributor would be nice for a drag bike but hard to find these days.
