Harness routing question was created by kz_1000a
I am replacing the main harness and instrument lights and ignition switch on my 77 kz1000 and am unsure how the wiring enters the headlight rear cowling.
The old harness was somewhat butchered and about 4" shorter than the new harness in the steering area.
Does the main loom enter the hole on the left hand side of the headlight rear cowling?
Does the ignition switch wiring and the instrument light wiring enter the hole on the right hand side of the headlight rear cowling?

Any pics of your routing would really be appreciated!

I have a later model (81). From what I remember the main harness and the l/h controls thread through the left hand side of the lamp bowl and the clocks and r/h controls go through the right. If thats any help.

(If you want there are pictures in my build thread somewhere, good luck finding them!)

In general I'd say the main wire harness goes on the left side of the top frame tube, because the throttle cables are on the right side.
