KZ200 headlight wiring? was created by Reymingus
Hey everyone! New rider here, and a sweet KZ200 is my first bike. My sealed beam blew out, and I’m replacing it with a new LED setup. The pictures I took while disassembling it aren’t that great, and I’m wondering where the on/off switch plugs into? It only has 2 black cables, so I’m not sure what goes where.
Also there’s like...3 different ground wires in the housing? Do they all need to be grounded? One of them was taped onto the housing!

I did not see a link to the KZ200 manual, but I bet the headlight wiring for the 250 and 200 is the same.

Does your bike have the stock headlight connector w pigtail or did someone cut it off?
Typically on a headlight, there are 3 wires. A yellow-red low beam wire, a red-black high beam wire & black-yellow ground.
If you have a multimeter, it should be easy to figure out which wire is which.
One of the extra ground wires could be for the headlight. 1 or 2 of them could be for the front turn signals if someone cut the wires off the grounding collars. Some models have an accessory ground wire at the headlight bucket, if there's an acc fuse box.
