Kz550 no turn signals, hazards work

Got a kz550 without any of the turn signals hooked up. Bought 4 and hooked them up and my turn signals don't work but the emergency flashers do. Any ideas?

Also... What's the difference between the A and the M on the selector?

If you follow the links in my signature, there are several manuals, and a page with some wiring diagrams.

The diagram labeled Kz550-C2 US and Canadian shows the wiring, but there is no hazard option on that diagram.

It might possibly help to know what bike you have since there are quite a few Kz550's. The model will be Kz550 followed by one letter and one number.

I think the A and M are for manual or automatic turn signal cancellation. Maybe the white factory base manual explains it.

On my bike (a completely different model) the hazards and the indicators work on different flasher units.

Keep in mind that there are several 550 models with slightly different wiring. Perhaps you can find what you need on Lou's website.

Oops, sorry for the duplication.

Thanks all. Checked out the wiring diagram and wound up finding out that 2 of the wires inside the handlebar control had fallen off.

Soldered them into place and interestingly enough, now they light up on the correct side but do not flash. when I flip it up to hazards they flash. Only think I can think of is a bad connection on one of them. Going to pull it back apart this week and re-solder both.
