Led h4 headlight was created by kz650guy
Has anyone considered this or done it seems like most early kz had weak charging systems and a led would lighten the running load quite a bit i have installed led headlight in a jeep Low beam were 5 led and high was 8 or 10 led they were very bright I believe the h4 led works the same way low just has less led bulbs my only fear is the heat sync may be a tight fit in the headlight housing

Sorry to nitpick on the terminology but H4 = Halogen bulb, and LED is Light Emitting Diode. Different lighting technologies. I think what you are referring to is installing an LED adapter bulb into your old headlamp shell? Or are you planning to replace the shell as well? That may be the better option because the entire headlamp assembly works as a system; the focal length of the reflector and direction of the lightbulb element inside is important to the light pattern thrown on the road.
Found this link which discusses the bulb change. I haven't read through the whole thing but it seems to discuss pros and cons. jalopnik.com/should-you-swap-your-headli...-for-leds-1728026383

Well Nessism, looks like advertising departments in the industry are perfectly content to confuse the terms

I use this H4 Halogen bulb style LED in my Z1B head light.
The LED has a little fan for cooling and the set comes with different adapters for the bulb installation.

It strikes me that the manufacturer doesn't have much confidence in their own statement about the longevity of the headlight. They state "Lifespan: 50,000 hours" That equals 5.7 years. However, they only offer a "2 year warranty" Ed
