Hello again. It seems this winter is bringing me into the world of Kawasaki lol.
Another one has rolled, or I should say carried piece by piece, into my shop. A 1976 KZ650. Parts have been cut off and misplaced over the years and I'm left with most of the frame, front end and engine. Seems like a good base for another custom. My question is, where do I find a wiring diagram for this girl? A bit of research indicates there might be a difference in the charging system for a 76. All the available manuals only seem to go back to 1977. All I need at the moment really is the basic wiring for the charging and ignition.
Thx for any help you can give.
Pics in the way soon.

There is no such thing as a 1976 KZ650 model. but there are 1977 KZ650 models that were built in the latter part of 1976. You need to base your repairs, parts order, etc. on the MODEL of the bike. So, if for example, you own a KZ650-B1 or a KZ650-C1 it is a 1977 model even though it may have been built in 1976. Think of it like a car. If you went out today and bought a 2018 Corvette it would have been built in 2017, otherwise you couldn't even see one until next year. Take a look at the frame number that is stamped in the steering stem neck, That will identify the model. Also, it is true that the KZ650-B1 and KZ650-C1 charging systems are different than those of any other year KZ650. Ed
