Need to replace both horns on my '82 KZ1000, The part number is the same for both. Are they both the same tone? Are they adjustable? Will any aftermarket horn work? Any suggestions?
Thank's

Any aftermarket 12volt horn(s) will work . Probably a lot cheaper than Kawasaki horns as well

If maximum loudness is desired, and without getting into the trumpet air horn style, a pair of Fiamm motorcycle horns should do nicely (one low tone and one high tone), and are much louder than the stock horns. Am uncertain how Fiamm's decibel ratings compare with other brand motorcycle horns such as Hella.
Amazon carries Fiamm and Hella.
Good Fortune!

I installed a single FIAMM 72112 Freeway Blaster Horn (Low Tone - F) on my KZ650-C1. In keeping the stock appearance on my bike I hid it up behind the steering neck so it cannot be seen. I hooked it to a relay and kept the stock horn operational and in place. Here's what it sounds like compared to the stock horn (click on FiammHorn_2017-06-23.mov below). Ed

I'm not looking for anything special or overly loud. It's just neither one of my stock ones work so I've been riding without. Just want the bike to look right. I had seen the cheap ones but wasn't sure if the stock horns were two toned or if I needed two tone horns. I saw Z1 had some.
Parts diagram only shows one part number so both horns must be the same.
