1981 KZ750-H2 (Euro model). stock electronic ignition. green Dyna 3.0 ohm coils & Dyna 7 mm copper core spark plug wire set.

Should non-resistor spark plugs be installed with the Dyna parts indicated above?
The bike has new BR8ES spark plugs as specified in the Kawasaki FSM for the European models.
The new dyna stuff will be installed when the order arrives from Z1Enterprises. Thanks.

I've ran non resistor solid core wires and plugs since the beginning and never had a problem.... I figure if your spending the cash for a hotter spark why not.

Resistor plugs or caps not both. Not needed but some do. You can run a slightly larger gap with the Dyna's as long as you have the Dyna S ignition as well.

Resistor plugs or caps not both. --- Okay. I guess the Dyna spark plug caps that come with the plug wire set aren't resistor caps?

Not needed but some do. --- Do you mean resistor spark plugs are not needed, but some guys use them? The current resistor plugs are new & would rather not waste more money replacing them unnecessarily.

The only issue I've had with running no resistors was using some digital multimeters on the bike. This was on two-stroke RD's. The meter was getting erratic and eventually quit altogether. It was a decent Fluke 77 meter.

The pickups do pick up a lot of noise, but I don't think it will cause too much issue with the ignition or regulator, but I never investigated.

You could check the ignition with a timing light and see if you get more erratic firing. The way to detect that is the gun will show a ghost image of the rotor in the wrong position, (in addition to the normal image of the rotor in the F position).

The bike currently has new resistor spark plugs (BR8ES). So, it's beneficial to keep them. Correct?

Those plugs should be fine. Neither the wires or the plug caps have a resistor so it's good to have one element in the chain with a resistor element.

Thanks. So if a USA model specifies non-resistor spark plugs, and a guy installs the green dyna coils & dyna spark plug wire set, he should install resistor spark plugs or resistor spark plug caps? I've been running my 81 650-CSR with neither. doh.

I have replaced my spark plug from BR8ES to Brisk LR14C Super 1485, please see attached drawing.
Will these work fin or must I not use them?

As I understand has these Brisk plugs a gap on 0,7 and the old BR8ES had 0.635?

Thank you,
I will go back to the old one, since they are almost new and I don`t think the problem was the spark plug in the first place.
I will also measure the gap when I replace so I know the gap haven`t been adjusted on a point during transport etc...

If google is correct shall it be 0.64 millimeters :)

I installed the BR8ES yesterday, and was not able to start the engine.. I reinstalled the Brisk LR14C Super 1485 and the engine start fin, I took took the bike one drive 1 hour and it went perfect. My plan was to purchase new BR8ES, they are almost new the one I have also, but I have troubleshooted the engine with them... so maybe I have been able to damage them.. I don`t know...

My questions is what is the risk of using the Brisk LR14C Super 1485?

According to Brisk homepage is Brisk LR14C a alternative to NGK BR8ES, so maybe there are no problem here?
