I've seen a few sites stating it can be done with some rewiring, but they never show how its done.
Curious to see if any of you have done this or care to lend a hand with it?
Thanks all, appreciate it!

For wiring diagrams here's a link that has been posted by 650ed & rstnick. KZ650.Info site
The B1 seems to be the only 650 model with a 4-wire ignition switch. The others have 6 wires.

Then when it arrived, way in the description it mentioned that to make it work with 4 pin it will need some rewiring
Guess it was bought on accident. Plus it was only $15

the "This switch WILL work but may require a little electrical "surgery"."

On the new switch I'm assuming: white wires = power (20A fuse). red = tail light. blue = turn signals. green = hazard circuit. brown = sensor wire & brown wire circuit.

From the wiring diagrams for the B1 & C1, it seems pretty obvious that one of the white wires won't be needed as the white power wire from the wire harness is split just before the connector & the 2 white wires are from the same 20A fuse. The B1 doesn't seem to have a hazard function, so I guess the green wire isn't used either. ???

That's what i was noticing as well. But being this is one of my first times tracing wires around, i wasn't sure if i was correct or not.
I'll double check my battery and everything.
But by comparison looks like it should almost just plug in and work.
