I've been going through the same process some time ago, don't quote me on this but I believe its around 10 to 12 amps for a standard winding (around 3,000rpm)
I have a full steel accessory rotor and that seems to be struggling with a 35W HID, DynaS (all other lights are standard Z1R - not LED) around the city, its ok on the open road.
The standard rotor showed a much better voltage around the city and could cope with a 55W HID globe instead of the 35W.
I do have a volt meter fitted

First Permanent ride the Z1R since Dec1977 (220,000km) as of June 2015
Second permanent bike 1989 FJ1200 dyno'd 140RWH, great bike.
Third ride is now the Frankenstein 1981 GPZ1100B1, 1983 fully recon motor fitted LOVE THIS BIKE
Forth my work bike FJ1200 1989 (same type as FJ above)

Just the dynamo stator itself puts out Volts AC, 3 phase, about 50 VAC. Then converts it to DC.
If you mean across the battery leads while running? Unhook the green regulator plug, keep all lights off, Rev to 4,000 rpm's 15 to 20 Volts DC is good. this is from dynamo / stator itself.
Something like that. Or? all together running?
Test battery charge rate? Rev at 3,000 rpm's should be around 13.5 - 14.5 VDC.

My old Harley Shovel, in the factory service manual, actual test for the stator is to hook a 110 volt, incandesent light bulb up to 2 wires at a time to test it. It is supposed to put out 80 volts AC, I never liked electrical!

I must've missed the point, I was sure Sandy wanted to know the max regulator Amps to the battery. Sandy can you clarify

Yes, the amp output for lighting ect...
And Bozo,I think it's more than 12 amps,no?
This came up in a conversation about heated clothing, and the bikes ability to power them up...and it got me curious.I remember going through this years ago when I wired up for a heated vest.It worked great, and really warm once you got going.
So add a pair of heated pants, and heated gloves...totalling roughly 9 amps with all 4 items plugged in.
I know my ZRX puts out 28 amps,so there should be no issues if I had everything hooked up,but if I wanted to use everything on the KZ,would it handle it?
