CDI question for expert

And zx750f gpz CDI box (p.n 11129-1024)
Is this true? I have both the gpz and gpx CDI , and with the digital multimeter they look the same about ohms readings.
(Pinout its the same)
I read in the shop manuals the engine valve timing for both the bikes. There is a 10'' difference in the valve-crank timing.
I dont recall exactly but i can post it after.
The question is.. Is the gpx 750 CDI working on the zx900 ninja?

Igniter it is what i mean.
Mine work, this topic it was just curiosity about the compatibility between the two ignitors above.
The time for the zx900 is
Inlet open 45° btdc
Inlet close 65° abdc
Duration 290°
The time for the 750gpx is
Inlet open 35°btdc
Inlet close 65°btdc
Duration 280°
So, the question is what happen if the 750 ignitor is used on the 900?

Is the ignition timing advance, between 750 and 900, different (other than static idle timing)?
If so, and you want to keep the 750 timing, you will have to compare some things.
First, is the shape of the rotor exactly the same between the 900 and 750? By that, I mean the base radius of the rotor and the rectangular tooth width and length. (If they have the same part number, they are probably the same.)
If the rotor is different, then hopefully the timing is different due to the rotor being different, and the box internals are the same (even though the boxes may have a different part number, due to different length wires or different connectors or different mounting holes etc). In this case, you'd have to try it and see.
If the rotors are the same then the timing is set by the box internals. So you would not be able to swap boxes without some modifications, unless you just want to use the 900 timing on the 750.
(I'm talking about ignition timing, not the valve timing, of course.)
Also, you could look into the Zx550A gpz550. They used a system like the Zx750.

1) The "timing" numbers you reference is VALVE timing. This information is not pertinent, you need to look at IGNITION timing.
2) CDI = Capacitive Discharge Ignition. CDI's are typically used on dirt bikes, not street bikes. Most KZ bikes using an electronic ignition system uses a solid-state electronic switching unit called a Darlington power transistor. The power transistors are triggered by pick-up coils and the entire system operates on a different principle compared to a CDI.
