Wiring Help

Hey Guys, I recently picked up a 1981 KZ750. There was no harness with the bike. I bought a 1982 KZ750LTD harness on eBay for dirt cheap. So far most of the main wiring works, but both LH & RH combo switches have different connectors. My main issue and I have looked at about 5 different wiring diagrams, I am trying to figure out what main wires I really need from the RH Combo switch to use the electric start. Ive looked online for 82-on RH control switches and they are pretty nonexistent. From looking at the E3 diagram which states it's for the 1982 it appears the starter button assembly only consists of 3 wires (black, red and yellow, which turns into a red/yellow). I am thinking i can get a universal switch with either 2 or 3 wires and figure out which two make the switch active. Thanks guys.

Z1Enterprises.com has a pretty good selection of connectors & electricals including colored wire which would be handy.

CycleTerminal is another place that also has a good selection, but the guy is on vacation right now until Aug 1. The connector quality is pretty good & they seem to be exactly the same as stock, the ones I got anyway. I think they are made by oem mfgs.

Don't have what any more? If you mean the 9-pin, Cycleterminal has them in white, black or blue.

Z1E had them for the Z1/KZ 1000's. No more. I looked at that site, wrong style. I found the ones I showed and got them in 4 days. They have the other styles as well.

Thanks. Do you just not care for the style, or will those connectors not work with the stock terminal pins?
