Replacement speedo options? 82 KZ1100

Just wondered if there is a plug and play replacement speedo available for an 82 KZ1100? I'd like one that actually registers above 85mph.. Since the gauges are electronic, can I use a late model cluster off a Ninja or something similar?

From eebbaay UK but the seller doesn't ship to the USA. just to show that there is a plug n play option. If a meter housing is in poor condition, swapping the innards might be possible. just in case you find another one in similar condition.

Koso R1 gauge, very nice and clean setup. It is not plug and play, had to fab up the mounts and wire it in but it is really accurate and has tach, speedo, fuel, oil light, speeding light, and a bunch of other stuff I don't use. It even has an accelerometer built into so I can get horsepower readings, 1/4 mile times, 0-60 times, etc.

How much does something like that run? I was hoping to find one cheap(ish), but if not I'll just have to save up

I paid $350,00 for it and have about 6 hours to wire of in.

Would that work on my 82 KZ1100A? Mine has the separate odometer/tripmeter and I thought the 1100 speedos were all electronic?

I took a look at the diagram of a shaft drive model front hub a couple of weeks ago, and from a quick glance the stuff looks the same as the mechanical speedo hub on the 1000P. You could do a comparison at Partzilla to see if the stuff is the same. I would get a speedo drive gearbox & receiver and do a test fit.
