I was responding to Roy's remark regarding HOW you would use a relay to control your headlight and not on WHY you would use a relay. It is your bike, do as you like.
BTW: When you asked why you would use the coil relay mod, I was a little confused as it explains the purpose of doing the mod in the write up. Good luck!
