Speedo dash light?
16 Jun 2016 02:47 - 16 Jun 2016 03:23
I'm fitting a single speedo to my 82 KZ. The standard dash has two turn signal lights, the speedo I've fitted only has one LED light. Question is how can I make both turn signal sides light the one dash light. If I try and feed the single unit wires to each turn signal both turn signal sides light at the same time. I have tried taking a feed from the flasher unit, no joy.
someone suggested fitting a diode on each feed, would this work, any idea what kind of diodes I'd need?

Typical dash lights are about 4W which is 0.3A on a 12V line so a 1A diode should be enough. A 1N4001 diode should work, you can get them at any electronics shop probably Fry's has them in their parts area.
