my 1981 kz 440 starter motor needs a ground am i correct folks? it has two lock nuts on it, however do i ground it to a grounding wire along my wiring or onto my chassis?

I think most starter's windings are grounded through the commutator, on to the motor's case and subsequently, it's mounting bolts to the grounded engine case.
