Horn question?
11 Apr 2016 10:58
Putting my 1982 Gpz 750 back together and am having an issue with the horns. I took them apart to clean and paint. Put them back on and they barely honk and only when I push the horn button to about halfway - not all the way in. Kind of like a very slight squeak when I press the button until I hit the right spot and I get a weak honk.
Are the horns bad? Wondering if I did something when I put them back together. This project started 6 years ago so not sure if they ever worked but guessing that they did.

Dunno about a Gpz but I just learned today that there is an adjustment screw on the horn on a 750 Twin. Manual says the contacts wear over time and to loosen the lock nut and dink around with the horn button and the adjusting screw till you get a good sound. Battery is out of mine so I haven't tried it.
