now it will not start at all -- even with choke?
would run for about 15 seconds with choke fully on -- when did this quit happening?

A good fully charged battery might resolve the non-start issue.
If the battery is bad (such as won't hold a charge), may use jumpers to a good automotive battery, for testing purposes. CAUTION: NEVER JUMP TO A BATTERY IN A VEHICLE THAT'S RUNNING.
But if non-start persists even with ample battery power, would then try squirting some starter fluid into the carb air intake to determine whether the engine will momentarily start and run. As this will help indicate whether the non-start issue is more related to a fuel problem (such as supply and/or mixture) or more related to an ignition problem (such as spark quality and/or timing).
And be sure the kill switch is in RUN position.

How old is the battery & what is its voltage after charging? The bike needs a good, fully charged battery to run right.
