Ignition timing and process

Currently i have a 1982 kz 550, that i have completely overhauled. i have one question/ favor. could some one explain to me as the service manual and dyna-s instructions are missing. when adjusting the dyna - s ignition on my timing adjuster i have a "f" on the Timing adjust do i use this timing for the 1/4 coils? and what mark what do i adjust to for the 2/3 coils. currently at the top there is a "t" ,'F", 1-4, ' ". on the other side there is a "t".

i understand the "t" is Top of the cylinder; 'F" is Fire but isn't there a F for 1/4 and 2/3 on the Timing adjuster?

Thank you in advance

With the Dyna S you set the timing at the full advance mark then adjust down the idle. You can google them and get the instructions there.

Thanks Swest. is there supposed to be a full advance mark on both sides of the Advancer? or do you use the advance for both 1/4 and 2/3

thank you again

There is but some bikes don't have one for 2/3' If that's the case you have to measure where 1/4 is and make your own marks for 2/3,
