82 kz550 starting problems

Hey guys I have an 82 kz550 ltd and I did my own wiring cuz the old wiring I wasn't getting any power to the lights or the starter, I did a bare bone wiring on it and now the lights work but when I push the start button I'll hear a click and the lights well turn off, checked the fuses and they were good, reconnect the battery and the lights well turn on but when I push the start button it well do it all again any help? This is the diagram I used

Sounds like the battery is dead.

It's a new battery with 12.30 volts

Should be something near 13 volts if it's fully charged.

Then why well the lights turn off as soon as u push the start button.

Batteries can test good but no amps behind it.

I agree on the battery being the most likely suspect.

Did you try to jump the solenoid to get the motor to crank?

Make sure the terminals are nice and tight, that happened to me this weekend
