Im wondering, what ive done wrong in the past!!
SO now ive cleaned the carbs 3 times on this bike.
But initially,i had her running, although rough, i checked the coils-GOOD,an the Pulsing coils-GOOD.
Then i tried to run her after the 2nd carb clean, and she was missing, another check, one of the coil HT checks was bad,So new dyna coils, all good. But still running a bit off so clean them again, and give her a run, AH much better, but still fluffing on 4,let her cool down cos its getting close to great, and i see the pipes on 1 and 4 arent looking too hot, right so check those pulsing coils,1and4 dead WTH,let it cool down take them off and i get varying resistances, then back to 0.
Ok so search and it seems i have to buy a complete setup,
Does anyone know of a supplier so i can simply solder on new coils ,that'd be great

How are the spark plug wires and caps? If old, you may want to get a new set.
Every little thing helps, in my experience.

Does it have mechanical advance?
If so, you can use any pickups from any other mechanical-advance, inline-four, KZ.
The pickups themselves can be swapped, even though the timing plates may be different sizes for the different size bikes. You can also swap the 1-4 pickups with 2-3 pickups. You just have to get the wire colors correct.
Black swaps with yellow.
Blue swaps with red.
Here's more detail on how to get the magnets and screws in the right place.

Thanx guys, funnily enough i dont have any pix of the bike together, , i have plenty of pix particular parts for re-assembly,here is how she currently sits, waiting for some new pulser coils.
Oh and i see theres some of you in Tassie shortly, im over with the vic Ducati club on the 12th,guess we wont see each other.
And the weather here is South Eastern Victoria, usually best this time of year, around 18 to 30 c,most excellent for doing what WE love best!!

Steve, did a compression test, checked and adjusted the valves, i had a sneaking suspicion the cam chain was near its end, but couldnt quite tell.
Anyhow, about half of the cam retainer bolts stripped when i undid them,i just replaced them the same as the one that had already stripped,(someone had simply put in an imperial bolt,no re-tap or anything).
I decided i really needed to make sure she was right, so i pulled the head, tapped and heli coiled her, fitted a NEW cam chain, and was now happy the cam chain guides were fine,i decided the valves could do with a touch up but the inlets were too thin,so new set of them, and to add to the fun, redo those bloody clearances.
Did i tell you about the tank, some numb nuts had put in self tappers to hold on the emblem on one side,GUESS WHAT.
Oh and the rusty seat base that had been bogged up and painted.
Cant wait to ride her!!
