If you have a points ignition it should be 3,3 - 4,8 ohms. For the electronic ignition 1,5 - 2,8.

I believe the 81 has electronic ignition and you can buy any 3ohm coil. Dynateck or accel

No problem. I just bought a set of dynatek mini 3ohm coils for my kz1100 this week. Youll probably want to replace the wires too, i know mine were hardened into their position and wouldnt re-route to fit the new coil position. You want solid copper core wires, 7mm or 8mm. Part# Dw-200 for dynatek
