What is this?
27 Jan 2016 12:30
Just started restoring a 79 KZ1000 LTD. Bike was found in a barn ten years ago and hasnt been touched since then. I got into some of the wiring and found this. Anyone have an idea of what it is? Thanks in advance!

it is a relay/switch that will turn on your brake lamp(make it flash) if your tail light goes out, or is not wired correctly.

it would be best to keep it I am not sure how if will effect your stop lamp in your gauge cluster, the rubber seems to go like that on all of them including mine but as long as it works you might as well keep it. I believe the part is discontinued.

If it works, keep it. Maybe give it a new coat. I always liked it going on when my brake light went on. If the bulb burns out it will flash. It does nothing else.
