Those wire colors are for a KZ ignition.

As mentioned the ZX wires are different combinations of those colors.

My signature has many manuals with supplements that cover your bike. I recommend you download all of them (just in case) and look into the supplements for 84/85 specific info. Some of the general manuals skip over some of the specific details.

If you suspect one side of the ignitor, try swapping the the two circuits. Move the wires from the ignitor to the coils, over to the other ignition coil. Then move the plug wires also. This will keep the pick ups the same but move the output side of the ignitor to the other Ignition coil.
