"Upgrading" 80 generator to 81 generator.

in 81 Kawasaki begun installing 2nd generation of outer rotor.

72-77 aluminum inner rotor (outer stator)
78-80 1st generation smaller outer rotor 124mm OD
81 up 2nd generation bigger (about 1/2")outer rotor

I have 80 kz1000E (shaft), and I installed parts from 81 kz1000 J.
I replaced:
rotor
cover with stator

So how does it work?
