Hey everyone
A friend of mine purchased a KZ440 a few days ago that the PO insisted was a good running bike. We finally got it running after a carb clean, but the right cylinder isn't getting any spark. We installed a new battery and new spark plugs. We swapped the spark plug wires between the two coils and the wire plugged into the left coil would always have a good spark, and the wire to the right coil had no spark. Does this sound like the right coil is bad?

If you switched the leads but the same side is the problem then I would suspect the coil. You should be able to test the coil with an ohm meter to tell if it's in spec.
- good luck

You could also check the plug cap and plug lead. Take the plug cap off the plug lead. Cut the plug lead back about a quarter inch and screw the cap back on the lead.
