You shouldn't be embarrassed because your bike has a battery. Lots of great machines have batteries. Here's one:

I'm not sure if it would work with the Kawasaki, but I have a CT110 that doesn't have - or need - a battery - it has a magneto instead

try searching the bare bones for mattylight topic by loudhvx (deceased). look for a batteryless wiring diagram there, in which case a large capacitor is often specified to replace the battery. for upgrading the ignition, one place to start is to compare the crankshaft end and generator rotor from the donor bike. kz400s and 440s. the bare bones topic might guide you in the right direction.Thays exactly what i want to do. I want to eliminate the battery and electric start from the bike. Haha obviously the bike already has a kickstart. I assume i will need to sort through the wiring harness eventually and take out the wires i dont need? I was told this year bike will only with start if the battery is hooked up? I already began removing the battery box and all that comes with it
